Our Mission
Here at New Jerusalem M. B. Church, we believe that God's command to make disciples is our greatest privilege and responsibility. We are therefore committed to fulfilling our purpose through ministry, mission, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and worship. Our goal is to evangelize the unsaved, promote spiritual maturity and make every member a minister of the Christ.
Annual Bible Study Christian Leadership School - Christian Leadership School will be held at New Hope First Baptist Church January 27, 2009 through February 24, 2009 on Tuesdays only at 7:00 p.m. nightly.
Benefit Program - A special Benefit Program will be held for New Bethel Baptist Church of Cleveland, MS. The church building was lost due to a tragic fire in October 2008. This program will be held at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church in Greenville, MS on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
Mission Program - The members of Mercy Seat Baptist Church would like to invite you to their Annual Program of the Missionary Society which will be held Sunday, February 9, 2009 at 3:00 p.m.
Building Fund - All members are asked to contribute $150 per year per person to the building fund. This money can be paid weekly, monthly or all at one time.
NOTE: If at any time your special date is left off, please notify Sister Gloria McCray, Sister Loretta Ransom, Sister Kira Porter, or drop a note by the finance office. We will be glad to correct the bulletin!

THE IMPORTANCE OF PUNCTUALITY
The time to arrive at Church is before the service starts. If you arrive after the Divine Liturgy begins, try to enter the Church quietly and observe what is happening. If the Epistle or Gospel is being read or the Little or Great Entrance is taking place, wait until it is finished to quickly find a seat. If the pastor is giving the sermon, stay in the back until he has concluded. Try not to interrupt the Liturgy by your entrance. The best way to avoid this situation is to arrive on time.

All CHILDREN NEED YOUR LOVE & DISCIPLINE
Let us become a 'tribe' and help rear ALL children in 'our nation' (church). If a child needs your help in understanding what is the right decision, as an adult, be there for them all. It is our job as a Christian fellowship to rear these children in the admonition of the Lord. The bible mention in more than two or there occasions that children should be obedient and obedience is taught not acquired!
